Most recently, he oversaw the district’s response to COVID-19, pivoting to online learning at the start of the pandemic and safely returning students and staff to buildings for in-person learning as quickly as state Department of Health guidelines would allow.Washington Township High School principal Jonathan Strout recently announced the school’s Principal’s List and Honor Roll students for the fourth marking period. Working collaboratively with the Washington Township Police Department to minimize and mitigate security risks throughout the schools, Bollendorf took the lead in introducing state-of-the-art security measures in school facilities, including: vestibules at school entrances electronic door-locking systems increased surveillance cameras best-practice emergency plans and regularly scheduled, real-time security drills, including active shooter, shelter in place, lockdowns, lockouts, fire drills and emergency evacuations. Amid the programmatic enhancements and throughout the challenges of a global pandemic, Bollendorf prioritized the safety and security of all students and staff and successfully spearheaded numerous safety protocols throughout the district.
